    Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Must Still Resign As Defence Minister To Assume Moral Accountability And Political Responsibility For The Shameful Robbery Of Weapons In Two Army Camps In Grik That Led To The 3 Deaths

    ============================================

    DAP Wanita extends its condolences to the family of army ranger Mathew anak Medan and Detective Corporal R.Sagadevan who were murdered by members of an armed deviationist cult who robbed weapons from two military camps in Grik. The family's loss will be felt by the nation who appreciate the sacrifices they have made to ensure peace and security for Malaysians. The Government should value their sacrifices by giving full and adequate compensation to the families, including full scholarships for their children.

    Lieutenant General Datuk Zaini Md Said must be congratulated for his courage and quick-thinking in defusing the situation without bloodshed. With his singular act, Lieutenant General Datuk Zaini has defused the crisis and restored calm to a tense situation without additional bloodshed.

    It is sad that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak did not show the same courage or quick-thinking as Lt. General Datuk Zaini. During this crisis, many Malaysians had expressed concern about the country's security, with so much weapons falling into the hands of a deviationist cult, and felt threatened that our army camps could be so easily robbed.

    That is why Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak must still resign as Defence Minister to assume moral accountability and political responsibility for the shameful robbery of weapons in two army camps in Grik that led to the 3 deaths, especially the torture and murder of army ranger Mathew anak Medan and Detective Corporal R.Sagadevan.

    Malaysians are shocked that robbers posing as officers can enter the army camps so easily without needing to follow any checking procedures. In fact driving our car into the public office complex of the ordinary government departments appears more difficult, with the guard checking whether your car have the pass to enter.

    If this is the way our army camps are run, then our Defence Minister has failed in his basic duty and responsibility. If our army camps can not even be protected, how can the army protect the country?

    Datuk Seri Najib must resign to demonstrate that the government will not compromise on the nation's security. Any failure to do so will only demonstrate another attempt to run away from taking full responsibility for this tragedy that costs 3 lives.
